Who said the 2's were terrible???

Who said the 2's were terrible? 3-year olds can throw quite a tantrum! I can hardly believe my little Ellie is almost 3 1/2 years old....going on 13. She is about 38 inches tall and weighs 34 pounds. She loves makeup(when I let her wear some lip gloss or some clear nail polish), hates having her hair done and loves to wear pretty dresses. She says she's only bonita when wearing a dress(I think that has to do with the "twirl" factor). She speaks very well; well, at least I can understand her most of the time. She likes to play with her girlfriends Bailey and Yasmine. She also loves Play-doh and cartoons...especially Dora, Max and Ruby and Caillou. She is a very picky eater. Although she likes Mac-N-Cheese, quesadillas and granola bars, she's not fond of any green veggie or fruit except for apples. In spite of all the growth and new discoveries this year, she has quite the little temperment. She knows how to push mommy's buttons and how to get daddy to give her anything she wants. LOL! I know she knows my name after all the "mommy mommy mommy's". She is very smart and loves to dance. Even though I am surely not the greatest singer, she loves when I sing to her each night and scratch her back while she falls asleep. In spite of having a little one wear me out each day, I am greatly blessed to have here. She makes me so happy....she really is a miracle in my life. For anyone wondering(and because I'm tired of having people asking me), we are waiting on The Man Upstairs to bless us with another little one and therefore only have Ellie and no other children.

Christmas 2008

So, it's been a while since we've posted anything. Christmas and New Year's is over and now it's time to do "clean up" as Ellie would put it. Elisha's mom and siblings Aubrey and Austin drove up from New Mexico to spend the week with us. We had a great time. We visited Temple Square, had a lot of snow and went sledding. More than anything, we shopped...and not just for clothes or shoes, but for food. On the Monday before Christmas, it snowed really hard. We tried to go to Walmart to buy some sleds, but we only got about 5 or 6 miles down the road to the local grocery store and decided that we should turn around seeing that we couldn't see(out the windows that is). Christmas eve it felt like a scene out of the movie "The Santa Clause". We called around to find a restaurant that was open and the only one open after 5:30 pm was Chilis. In spite of that, the food was great. Christmas day we had a traditional turkey dinner. We are greatful that Elisha's mom and siblings could come and are glad they are home safe. We are a bit sad that Elisha's dad couldn't make it due the fact the his entire household got sick. We are excited to start the new year and have even made some goals. As advised by our bishopric, we made some spiritual ones as well as temporal. We plan on enjoying this year. Some upcoming events: Ellie's birthday is on January 8th and she will be 3 years old. Yeah! We have also just purchased tickets to Guadalajara, Mexico. Finally, we are taking a family vacation: 4 tickets for the price of 1. We hope you all have a great year and are also able to meet your goals. For anyone interested, yes we want more children, but we are still waiting on the Man UPStairs. lol.
