Christmas 2008

So, it's been a while since we've posted anything. Christmas and New Year's is over and now it's time to do "clean up" as Ellie would put it. Elisha's mom and siblings Aubrey and Austin drove up from New Mexico to spend the week with us. We had a great time. We visited Temple Square, had a lot of snow and went sledding. More than anything, we shopped...and not just for clothes or shoes, but for food. On the Monday before Christmas, it snowed really hard. We tried to go to Walmart to buy some sleds, but we only got about 5 or 6 miles down the road to the local grocery store and decided that we should turn around seeing that we couldn't see(out the windows that is). Christmas eve it felt like a scene out of the movie "The Santa Clause". We called around to find a restaurant that was open and the only one open after 5:30 pm was Chilis. In spite of that, the food was great. Christmas day we had a traditional turkey dinner. We are greatful that Elisha's mom and siblings could come and are glad they are home safe. We are a bit sad that Elisha's dad couldn't make it due the fact the his entire household got sick. We are excited to start the new year and have even made some goals. As advised by our bishopric, we made some spiritual ones as well as temporal. We plan on enjoying this year. Some upcoming events: Ellie's birthday is on January 8th and she will be 3 years old. Yeah! We have also just purchased tickets to Guadalajara, Mexico. Finally, we are taking a family vacation: 4 tickets for the price of 1. We hope you all have a great year and are also able to meet your goals. For anyone interested, yes we want more children, but we are still waiting on the Man UPStairs. lol.
